NiQuit Privacy Policy

NiQuit is a smoking cessation app. This policy explains what data we handle and how.

Data stored on your device

The following information is stored locally on your device using AsyncStorage and is never sent to our servers:

• Smoking habits (product type, daily quantity, price per pack)
• Quit date
• Course progress (completed lessons)
• Notification preferences
• Selected language

AI Coach

When you use the Coach feature, your messages are sent through our server and forwarded to Anthropic to generate a reply. We do not store your conversations. They are kept only on your device. NiQuit does not read or retain the content of your coaching conversations.

Payments

Supporting NiQuit is entirely voluntary. If you choose to give back, the payment is handled by your platform's in-app purchase system, Apple on iOS or Google on Android. We never receive or store your payment details; their privacy policies apply to the transaction. We use RevenueCat to manage in-app purchases, which receives a purchase record and an anonymous app user identifier, never your payment information.

Push notifications

Motivational notifications are scheduled locally on your device. No message content is sent to external servers.

Analytics

NiQuit uses PostHog to understand how the app is used in aggregate. All data is stored exclusively on PostHog's EU servers (eu.i.posthog.com) and never transferred outside the European Union.

We collect anonymous usage events, such as "app opened", "milestone reached", or "course lesson viewed", along with a randomly generated identifier that is not linked to your identity in any way. We do not collect your name, email address, quit date, smoking habits, personal reason for quitting, or any other information that could identify you. NiQuit does not use advertising networks or cross-app tracking of any kind.

Children

NiQuit is intended for adults (18 and older) who want to stop using nicotine. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18.

Data deletion

All app data is stored on your device. Deleting the app removes all data permanently.
